The Usual unknown

In the crowd of first-person shooters and action-adventure game in the third, is disarming to find a platform that quality should be rescued from the past. Yet the reality is this: The Trilogy Sly reported today a saga of the golden years of the PlayStation 2, despite his age, gets along very well. In fact, you can almost seem like we are talking about an innovative genre in free fall. The remastered high-definition 16:9 format support makes Sly The Trilogy even more timely and, despite obvious grainy texture and a variety of phenomena of pop-up, the end result looks good because of the excellent cel shading implemented at the time by Sucker Punch. I'm not sure how to cover news from the 3D support (provided you have a TV compatible) or a handful of mini-games Compatible with PlayStation Move to encourage the purchase, but the quality of the three titles contained in it.

The first chapter, Sly Raccoon, is considered a classic by fans of the genre and thoroughly embraces the classic structure of the securities platform. To the linear path and the game mechanics are often based on the platform combines the stealth approach - is no coincidence that the protagonist is a raccoon thief - and some fighting to spice the action. Some problems in collision detection combined with the camera does not always functional and the absence of a bar Sly Raccoon make energy a bit 'less enjoyable to play these days, but remained basically a fun event and well done.

With a structure a bit 'longer move with the times, which provides more different missions, Sly 2: Band of Thieves offers a leap in quality that makes it more interesting than the parent. Jumping on the roofs of Paris is still fascinating, thanks to level design much more articulate and successful platform to some sections particularly well. The collision problems found in the first episode have been resolved, but increase those connected to the camera, although they are negligible for most occasions. Closes the trilogy Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, which examines the structure of the second chapter, expands the exploration environment, but suggests a decline of fantasy to which remedied with the ability to control multiple characters (Sonic docet) that end up dilute the experience.

To be sure none of the three titles coming to the degree of absolute masterpiece, you want to charisma of the characters or immediacy of the gaming system, or to experience a passion that does not play until the end. In this Nintendo is still the undisputed king, but Sly The Trilogy is still a recommended compilation to all nostalgic - who will win new trophies - and lovers of the genre, even considering the price.

Pros: three games as a budget-priced, remastered in high definition, finally a platform game!
Replay Value: good. Each title has its own collections to discover
Cons: problems pop-up of polygons, the camera is not always perfect, sometimes incomplete collisions
In Summary: The Sly Trilogy brings back an icon waiting for PlayStation 2 a true sequel
